Our Teachers
Khushboo embarked on her spiritual journey in the early 2000s, delving into various forms of meditation. Coming from a Jain family, a religion founded on the principles of non-violence, she developed a deep appreciation for Karma Yoga. In 2014, Khushboo decided to share her knowledge and expertise by transitioning from her career as a costume designer to becoming a yoga teacher. During this time, she lived in an ashram under the guidance of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, where she dedicated her efforts towards Seva, or service for the welfare of others.
As an ERYT500 with a post-graduate diploma in mind and psychoneurobics, as well as a Masters in Science in Yoga Therapy, Khushboo specializes in Ashtanga yoga, Vinyasa flow, Hands-on Adjustments & Alignments of Asanas, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra. She is passionate about helping others find their path and teaching aspiring yoga teachers to not only learn about yoga but also embody its principles of compassion and love, spreading these values throughout the world.
Khushboo brings warmth, openness, and a deep appreciation for yoga and meditation to her classes. With gentle guidance, uplifting music, and minimalist demonstrations, she aims to facilitate maximum hands-on adjustments, creating a safe and nurturing environment for all. As someone who strives to live a yogic lifestyle, she leads by example, empowering her students to make choices that align with their values.
Tess was raised in the wise rocks and rivers of Boulder, Colorado, USA. Her grandmother, a practical mystic and scholar of religion, first pointed her down the path of yoga. Years later, while studying to become an economist, somatic rebellion led her back to yogic practice in search of relief from chronic pain. Her body has been her guide and truth-teller ever since.
Tess's experience of body-mind healing through yogic practice led her to study movement science and the miraculous microcosm of the inner landscape. In graduate school, she filled her frontal lobe with anatomical structures, bodily blueprints, and biomarkers of well-meditated minds, hoping to grasp the mysteries of somatic intelligence. But the fluorescent lights of academia didn’t shine on many of the questions she had, and she found herself turning to the body-mind maps of the ancients, artists, mystics, and somanauts.
Her work is grounded in direct experience, guided by scientific inquiry, and inspired by the great mystery. As a student of Classical Tantra, Tess is pulled by the path of the Heart. As a student of the body, she follows the path through movement. Her classes weave elements of Embodied Yoga, non-dual Somatics, and sound/music therapy as pathways to remembering who and what we really are.
